James Biersach Shows off the first CompuLert

Tue Apr 26, 2016 12:20 am

James Biersach stands next to his new line of radio activated computer monitored siren controllers. ACA sold this first system of controllers or Milwaukee County WI. An article I found with is photo also stated at the time of this photo was taken they just landed a $million contract to install a Waring system similar to Milwaukee's in Washington DC. In the photo he demonstrates the Central control system.

Wow.. so many American made sirens bound for Singapore. First, the Thunderbolt 2000 (seen the blower box a long time ago, wasn't interested in sirens yet), now Alertronic 4000's. All gone and replaced with Hormann.
I love Yamaha Music Sirens.

Amusingly enough, I have seen a couple towns around West Texas that still use that alarm clock looking activation box in the foreground of the picture. One town just has it sitting on the floor in a closet at city hall.

I have no idea how or why it happened, but Lewisville, TX' old Thunderbolt system was run by Compulert. They had the second generation and IIRC the controls were all rack mounted. Lewisville had no real siren system prior to the Thunderbolts, so it must have cost a fortune to order the sirens and controls separately, and then update all the radio cabinets.
He died.
