They have a Modulator 8032B siren. That Mod has the most cells out of all of them.

The Siren that we took over from Lockport Township was actually gray. It is very faded, rusted and kind of looks a little white-ish. Depending on weather conditions it will come out of service this week or next for three days while we have the head repainted "yellow" and all of the control box cabinetry removed and replaced with the new aluminum enclosures. We plan to pull it from the ground next year to get the pole back to vertical as it is a little tilted right now but we will improve it one step at a time.

We just refurbished siren #8 on Naperville Drive on the North side of town this April with all of the new hardware as well. it seems that as they get older the original steel enclosures start to corrode and if left on their own the batteries can actually start falling through the bottom of the battery box which did happen at one point years ago.

Great video. I like not having to hear the radio tones.

Noticing the pitch drop on it over time. Sounds like one of the batteries aren't too happy.

This siren will be gone soon. I had the new concrete pier poured last week for the new 508 siren. We should be installing the new 508 by mid December at the latest. It WILL be yellow with a black steel pole. I will advise you all of the install date when it gets firmed up. I saw that someone here wanted to be able to document a siren installation...Mike

Do you know what will become of the PN-20?
I own: One complete SiraTone, another SiraTone control module, a 1600W MC, 2 old ATI controllers, 2 round ATI horns with drivers, a ATI-DSA 4 thing, a Federal Signal FC, AR timer and Siratrol, and a small CD&F.
