This past Tuesday I decided to go up to cynthiana ky high school to see its thunderbolt siren after 4J25 told me that it and another one at a water tower where their in cynthiana. The thunderbolt at the high school is not located directly at the school building itself, its at some sort of water tower right near the school field. Because the one at the high school was out near the school field next to a water tower, my mother was confused so we went up to the board of education and fortunately the guy that talked to my mother was very nice and somehow managed to give us a map of all the tornado sirens in cynthiana. Their are 4 sirens in cynthiana. (Or at least that's as many that are marked on the map. Their located at the high school, the water tower northwest of the city, the old Bundy Tubing factory, and the old jail. I called the EMA today and they said they test their sirens every Wednesday at noon "unless theirs a funeral" probably because the one at the water tower is also right next to a funeral home. The test according to the ema lasts 30 seconds to 1 minute. Both thunderbolts are active and the other ones, I don't know what models they are. That's basically it. And finally here are the pictures of the high school thunderbolt.
30 seconds my butt... When we were there for a test they didn't go off until 12:08 and did a growl. The STH peaked for maybe half a second. Nice pictures. Be careful trying to get near the water tower one; there's a really sketchy abandoned house.
