RARE Foreign Sirens (Netherlands, Denmark, etc.)

Thu Oct 13, 2016 10:08 am

I've seen some rare sirens in America, Germany, etc., but I'm hunting VERY RARE sirens in places, like: The Netherlands, Denmark and so on, has anyone seen a rare foreign siren?
Seen a: KM Europ, small Klaxon siren and a Gents' of Leicester "ahooga" horn.
Also a big fan of both Apollo and Protec fire alarms.

I know Denmark had a siren system at some point before the 21st century. I found a photo of it somewhere but alas I know not where at this moment. Denmark has Whelens today from what I can tell.

Here is a picture from the Zeppelin Museum in Denmark that has some siren in front of this Sherman tank.

Something from the Netherlands

I don't know much about the sirens there. They have Modulator system, which is tested at first Monday in month at 12.00.
The modulators will disappear in 2017 because they cost too much. That's it.

Here is a link of the history of the civil defense in Denmark. Unfortunately it's in Danish, but there are some pictures, one of them shows the same siren. The model name is probably "E37D". They look a little bit similar to the Swiss Landert MSL-6. Really interesting.
