Winston Salem and Western North Carolina siren hunt

Sun Nov 20, 2016 6:21 pm

I'm going to be posting all the sirens I found in Western North Carolina here. So far I've found that Wake Forest university has a system of Modulators. Pictures to come.
Proudly own a Edwards Model E, a Federal Enterprises Model 2, and a semi butched Thunderbolt 1003A converted to "B". Possibly a 3T22 soon.
From the state that was first in flight and last to fight

I found a Sentry siren in Roaring Gap, NC. No pictures because we were heading to Galax, VA.
Pictures to come of the triple 5 setup.

The Fedelcode model 5, the Federal Module 5T and the Federal model 5 are still posted in Galax, VA. No noon test for me. Here are some pictures.

How long have you lived in Chowan? I'm not to far from there. Also, I lived for a few years near Winston-Salem and can give you some good siren locations if you are interested.

Woah... Where is that siren trio located? I know in Galax, VA, but I wanted to find a street view.
I love Yamaha Music Sirens.

They're not on the VFD but instead downtown on the social services building. If you search it it will come up.

Thanks! I've lived in Chowan County all my life. Born and raised. My Dad's parents are from Winston-Salem. And sure if you'd like!
