Just call Federal Signal and order the brushes from them. If you want you could also order a new Armature and Field from Federal too.Brendan W wrote:Hate to bump the thread, but does anyone know where I can get brushes for a '70s model 2?
Much obliged. However, would you happen to know how much these parts may run?SoundMaster 391 wrote:Just call Federal Signal and order the brushes from them. The Armature and Field I am not sure how much they cost. Probably expensive though. I heard from a topic made back in 2009 that the brushes costed about $8 each. Hopefully this helped.Brendan W wrote:Much obliged. However, would you happen to know how much these parts may run?SoundMaster 391 wrote:Just call Federal Signal and order the brushes from them. Is this meant for the armature brushes or the brushes that ride along the collector rings?QuantumCurse wrote:These brushes replace those ones in Thunderbolts. http://www.eis-inc.com/suppliers/produc ... -163+BRUSH
The armature I believe. All of the brushes are the same on the Thunderbolt I have so I can't answer that. It could be both but they are curved for the armature.SoundMaster 391 wrote:Is this meant for the armature brushes or the brushes that ride along the collector rings?QuantumCurse wrote:These brushes replace those ones in Thunderbolts. http://www.eis-inc.com/suppliers/produc ... -163+BRUSH
Will these brushes work with a Model 2 siren?QuantumCurse wrote:The armature. I don't know honestly. On my model 2 they were different.SoundMaster 391 wrote:Will these brushes work with a Model 2 siren?QuantumCurse wrote:The armature.
