Federal Signal EOWS 612, just the rotating speaker box -- any possibilities?

I bought a Federal Signal EOWS 612 siren, just the speaker box with rotating foot, and nothing else (no control box or battery box). Is there some way to make it make sounds?

Congratulation on the EOWS!
I think without control box there won't come sound out of it

You can connect a car stereo amplifier to the drivers, but make sure you have a low pass filter so you don't damage them. Then, connect the amplifier to a computer and go to the FS website and get sample sounds.

Nick Oakman has some EOWS synths, but I think you'll have to ask permission from him. BTW, is he active?

So that's where the EOWS 612 from Valley View, IL went!!! It just disappeared from Anderson School a few years ago. Great to see someone got it. Seems like a good deal too.

Try using an amp with a source test sound. Crude but it will work hopefully. Look for the manual online. You should find one.
