WOW! I have been through Silverton multiple times and have never seen that. Amazing find!

Oh my! Was that an old fire department siren? It's not too far from the municipal building, where they had a Thunderbolt 1000 for years.

There are probably still several more hidden gems around Hamilton County...
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

I could see how it perhaps be mistaken for some electrical equipment to the untrained eye. Not saying it ever was but I'm just taking a guess that could be why it wasn't known about all that much.
