Bought a siren!

Mon May 08, 2017 1:36 pm

So I finally got a siren, it is one of those rare ATI speaker arrays, basically the same as arrays DSA. I've already started restoring it. :D I am using oil based black rustoleum for the fiberglass horns. I have other plans for the housing. The siren is fairly light. On another note, all 4 speaker drovers work!

I own: One complete SiraTone, another SiraTone control module, a 1600W MC, 2 old ATI controllers, 2 round ATI horns with drivers, a ATI-DSA 4 thing, a Federal Signal FC, AR timer and Siratrol, and a small CD&F.

Nah, don't know how to make a oscilating rotator, too much work, and I'd have to drill holes in it which I'd rather not do. I did think about that before though!

Set your mind to it and you'll eventually find one. I knew about this for sale for a good long time, just didn't have the money. Luckily with a combination of scrapping, a yard sale, and a few other things I got the money for it!

Holy crappamoli, nice find! You could hook that up to a car amplifier and use Audacity to make some tones. Looks like this one is from when ATI was actually still good lol. Since I am not going to be able to get a "real" siren for at least another 5 years, I am stuck making them with a 3d printer lol.

Curious what the wattage is on the speaker drivers.

100W each, so 400W in total on the siren.
