That is ironic. In Mansfield we only have 2 Whelens. I don't know if the Whelens are Vortex or 4004. Before the Whelens my dad told me about the old siren. He was a young kid and he saw it for the first time in the 60's. He said there was an old water tower and on top of it was an old Fedelcode. I am unsure of the model. I don't know what happened to it. It was replaced and removed before I was born.ZombieSlayer127 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 15, 2017 5:58 amWelcome To The Siren Board! I am a siren enthusiast that lives in Maryville, IL. Our town's siren system is composed of 2 Whelen Vortexes. One of them has an ESC-2020 560Hz Electronic Controler. The other one, that I live the closest to, has an ESC-864 Digital Controler. The Whelen Vortex that I live near to, many years ago, it had a finback installed on it, but then for some reason that is still unknown to this day, they removed the fin. I still dont know why, but they just did for some reason.Lol.
