By the way, I saw the one at Murphy Hill Baptist Church. It looks GREAT!

No problem. Maybe some month in the future, you can come by the EOC and I can show you how we set them off.

I would have preferred that the siren been on the north side of the building away from the trees, but we took the location that was made available. I hope you live toward the north end of the neighborhood to get the full effect.

My house is located on the north end including my sister's house and my parents house. I'm located at the intersection of Soya Lane and Whitfield Drive (The front of my houe faces south towards the intersection). My Sister lives five houses down from the intersection of Honey Brook Drive and Whitfield Drive on the west side of Honey Brook Drive (Her house faces the Church location). My parents live on Whitfield Drive, where it turns and goes south (Their house is the first house facing west as you go around the sharp curve headed south).

All of the Altec Giant Voice Warning Systems, located throughout the city of Huntsville, were removed back in the 1990's. I'm not sure if the Altec system or what's left of it, out at Redstone/Marshall Space Flight Center. is still being used. The Original Altec Multi-cell Horns, at Redstone/Marshall Space Flight Center, have been replaced with different ones over the years.

Here is the old video from 1981 - 1982 showing the Altec Giant Voice Warning System being activated. This is the only known video of this system and how it sounded. There were 15 of these horn site locations around Huntsville.

There is one multi cell altec left in the arsenal
I went on the arsenal and one of the towers controller had fans running so it must be active

That's good to know. It would be great, if Redstone would allow you to take a picture of the original horn(s). If the controller has electrical power, then I would say the system is still being used. However, I would love to know if the entire system is still original or have they bought new control devices and just connected them to the horns.
