Those horns were made by Altec and are old, but they are not the original multi cell horns. My Father started working out there in1967. I was born in 1971. From 1978 through 1985, I would go to work with my Father a few days during the summer. He would drive me around, so I could look at the Altec system. The original horns were replaced in the early 1990's by the square horns shown in your picture. And those horns were slowly replaced by the small round horns several years ago. Hope this information helps.

Also you would happen to know the frequency that comes out of the sirens

I looked at all my old Altec Giant Voice literature and can't find any information on warning tone frequency. One would have to watch the video clip on youtube and try to simulate that sound. I wish I knew what that frequency was.

I can't find anything here. I suspect that it got thrown away. The last Giant Voice equipment I saw was years ago when we had a storage room at the old Council School.

I did find the monthly test records for the Altec system from 1990 - 1996. It looks like all remaining sites were in service April 1996 and then only Fire Station 9 on Hickory Hill Dr. was still in service for the May 1996 test just one month later. The other sites were crossed out and "decommissioned" noted. There was no June 1996 test record, so I am thinking the site at station 9 was replaced by a 2001 around this time and it too was "decommissioned".
