Sirens in Ghost Towns

Sun Oct 08, 2017 2:34 am

This is a topic that has always interested me, or rather peaked my curiosity. What ghost towns on our earth have sirens?

I only know of two I am afraid:
Centralia, Pennsylvania - 3T22
Picher, Oklahoma - Sentry of some kind.
Treece, KS - Modulator (gone)
Ripe old age of 26.
1950 Model A, 1979 AF Timer, 30 something ID tags, some other odds and ends
Registered Skywarn spotter as of 4/29/18

The Sentry in Picher is a 10V2T.
I own: One complete SiraTone, another SiraTone control module, a 1600W MC, 2 old ATI controllers, 2 round ATI horns with drivers, a ATI-DSA 4 thing, a Federal Signal FC, AR timer and Siratrol, and a small CD&F.

Apparently there is an ACA Allertor in Bushong, KS according to this website. The pole must have fallen down possibly damaging the fiberglass. I don't know is Bushong counts as a complete ghost town due to its few inhabitants but its pritey much empty. I was not able to find the sirens exact location.

Fort Lyon, Colorado has an STH-10 on top of the administration building, and a T-121 on the outskirts of town. The T-121 is obviously active, but I doubt the STH-10 is.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(
