Northeastern Ohio Siren Systems

Mon Nov 27, 2017 2:01 am

Here is a list of systems in Northeastern Ohio that haven’t been covered on the board much before.

Cuyahoga County:

City of Independence:
Federal Enterprises Thunderbolt 1000: Located at Independence Service Center
Federal Enterprises Thunderbolt 1000: Located at the Mill and Motion Bldg.
Federal Sign and Signal Model 2: Historic Hall (may be inactive)
Federal Sign and Signal Model 5A: East Pleasant Valley Rd.
Federal Sign and Signal Model 7T: Dalebrook Estates (Dalebrook Rd.)
Federal Sign and Signal Model 7T: Brecksville Rd. and Kleber Ct. (near I-480 overpass)
Federal Sign and Signal Model 7T: Brookside Rd. and Serio Dr.

City of Brecksville:
American Signal T-128: Blossom Hill (Oakes Rd.)
American Signal T-128: (w/Whelen WS-2016 cabinet): Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (Brecksville Rd and Wallings Rd)
Federal Signal 2001-130: Brecksville Cemetery (Highland Dr. and Royalton Rd.)
Federal Signal 2001-130: Brecksville Rd. And Miller Rd. (Replaced a WPS-2809 in June 2016)

Summit County:

Village of Richfield:
Federal Signal 2001-130: Richfield Woods Park (installed March 2017)
Federal Signal 2001-130: Revere High School (installed 2011-2012)

Bath Township:
Federal Signal Model 5: Bath Fire Department
*The two 2001’s in Richfield’s System (Bath can also activate these if needed; both police departments/fire departments have joint control over these). The Model 5 is activated locally, and is inside a cupola (making it virtually unrecognizable as a siren as it’s fully concealed unless you’ve heard it sounding before).

City of Fairlawn:
Federal Signal 2001-DC: Croghan Park
Federal Signal 2001-DC: Trunko Rd
Federal Signal 2001-SRN: Rothrock Rd
Federal Signal 2001-SRNB: Cleveland Massilon Rd. At Rosemont Commons Shopping Center (Brookwall Dr.)

That’s all for now.
