Happy Halloween! Crossed another siren off my list of stuff in the area to re-record with the PowerShot. Which of my Google Pixel filmed videos would you like me to re-record with the PowerShot? Let me know in the comments below!

Kudos on the vid, I like how the volume appears to get louder, possibly that's how the software is?

Either way, nice find!

It's an analog siren, so there won't be any software driving this one. I think the amps have a setting where they turn on with the tone generator. The amps would have to charge up before they hit full power. Loudoun's sirens do that when they activate, which is why they have a soft ramp up. I could be wrong though. Amplifier technology varies depending on the manufacturer.

Loudoun's amplifiers do it as a matter of aesthetics, given they use a rack mount Crown (or other makes) amplifier.
