That’s not it. The SC predated the FC (Federal Controller). The FC is currently the only controller Federal makes for electromechanical sirens and is available in a one or two way variant and in a DC one and two way variant. FC = Full controller
Full controller has a LCD display, will communicate back to indicate siren status and I believe it will respond to more command structures than the standard. The Full controller I have will do DTMF, Group Paging tone (fire tones) POCSAG, SAME codes (weather codes from NOAA) and AFSK.
I believe the standard only does DTMF and Group tone
