1959 came to Nueces County with a new problem, only northern parts of Corpus Christi had siren coverage from the 11 7 year old thunderbolt 1000's, after a meeting with city, county, and state officials, it was decided to place a very large order of sirens into Federal Sign and Signal Corporation.

The order consisted of 38 of the brand new Thunderbolt 1003 series for locations in and around Corpus Christi, 33 2T22 sirens to be placed in the western sections of the county, and 13 model 5's for rural sections.

Here is my map, I did extra for the heck of it. I will embed the link when I have time.

EDIT
Here's the embedded map, to see the current system, turn on "New Installations" and turn off "1940s System" by default, it displays the '80s system:

Wow! You used a LOT of the icons I made. It's nice to know that they're getting used.

And The Winner is....... Windowswhistler2419. I chose his map because it included a lot of detail and good history behind it. He gets to choose the setting and county for next map.

FSMC #5 Orange County Florida

The year is 1998 And Orange Country Is in need of a siren system to warn people of hurricanes and massive storms.

You, the siren installer must come up with a siren system, be creative, let your imagination go free.

Here's my map, this took SO LONG! It was fun, for the most part. This was the first map that I made using Google Earth Historical View as a guide for where to place old sirens. Please read the description of the map.

EDIT: I added activation zones to the map. I might add radii, but it's unlikely due to the size of the map.

ok so after a month I noticed only one person posted and that is WPS4004Man.
he won this one because it has so much detail and a good story to it
so he gets to chose whatever county he wants.

also, when I decided to let people post their maps on this topic for a month (even though I only saw one person) I noticed this topic was slowly sinking into the abyss of other topics so I decided to reply to it

Can I wait a month to post? It seems like there are low submissions since everyone is on vacation.
