Okay, Why? What's wrong with the map that's on page one of the thread, which has been maintained for two years? I'd be more than happy if you'd work with us, not set up direct competition. Your map has a lot of holes in it, but also some new interesting locations and updated I'd like to use. I'll say it again, I'd love you to join forces and help add locations. I really don't want competition, expecially as we are the only two UK people here. The official map is two years old with new information being added to it all the time, it has over 3300 views and over 110 locations and counting. For context, there were over 7000 siren locations in 1991. There is a way to go, so the more people working on it, the better.kjt_2020 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 11:45 amMy new UK Warning siren map that ive been working on for a few months now.
Including all types of warning sirens/Air raid sirens around the UK!
Will update weekly with new sirens and information.
If anyone has any siren locations in the UK that they would like to tell me about and add id be very thankful.
This is my first update to this map. I have added the following:
The Todmorden/Hebden Bridge Flood warning system along with photos & information.
The Norfolk Flood Warning System with old photos of the sirens before they were removed.
The Carstairs State Hospital escape sirens with photos & information.
The Broadmoor Hospital escape sirens with old photos before they were removed.
The New Broadmoor escape siren.
Added indivdual layers depending on the type of sirens. (Example: German made sirens added to the "German made" layer)

Interestingly enough someone recently added the first one, but thanks for the other two. You even got the Chatham dockyard siren as well which I'm very thankful for!James B wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2020 5:47 pmFound Some more...
53.375667, -2.346446 - Gents - Still Standing
50.871896, 0.558738 - Carter - Removed in 2018 and a fundraiser has been started to get it restored and returned.
51.394923, 0.527454 - I think it's a castle castings but I'm not sure. It was there in the 80s and I think there were sirens dotted about the dockyard that have since been removed. You can see videos on youtube of it and it still gets used for some events at the dockyard. Located one one of the platforms on the crane.
I think that GP6 was one of the sirens heard when there was a huge fire in Greenwich! Also, can you please add a link to the Dow siren video? can't seem to find it...
Thank you!
In the coords I can't see the horns. sorry to go off topic again, just wanted to know what they looked like
A Klaxon that one is too. Thanks for the updates!yrrehc029 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 10:24 pmHello I don't know if you still are updating the map but I have have found many new locations listed below.
