What is the difference between Whelen WPS-4004 and Whelen Vortex R4?

They are the same, how do I know which is which. They look the same and sound the same. Please tell me how to distinguish them. Thanks.

On the vortex there is a rectangle box on the rotator, on a 4004 its a cylinder, and 4004s can do voice

Basically what Eows said. As far as I'm aware Vortexes only had the finback option too, though I'd need someone else with extensive knowledge on Whelens to verify that.

Vortex sirens also have the options of R1, R2, R3, and R4, which I believe distinguishes the amount of drivers. As far as I know, the 4004 only comes in the 4 driver configuration.

I think either that or the drivers in the throats are of less wattage.
