Oregon State Siren Map

Thu Apr 08, 2021 8:28 pm

So I’m pretty much done with this map, but if anybody has any location you think should be added let me know.
[OBSOLETED]
I think this may be the most comprehensive Oregon map out there, and I think I may start working on a ver. 2 with different layers for active, inactive and removed sirens.

Update 2023: new map has been out for a while, thought I ought to update this so people stop emailing about the old one. Here it is:

Rockaway Beach has a few sirens. They all came from the Trojan Nuclear Power Plant when it closed down. All of these sirens are now inactive as Tillamook County no-longer wanted to provide for the upkeep of the sirens.

45.63038, -123.94195 - Model 5

45.61881, -123.94484 - Model 2

45.60489, -123.94623 - Model 5? It's chopper is exposed.

STH-10 that you have marked at Garibaldi is Ex-Trojan as well.

Kingsley AFB (exact model is a guess-estimate)

42.14802, -121.73636 - Whelen 2903

42.16025, -121.74435 - Whelen 2903

42.1631, -121.73278 - Whelen 2903

Thanks man, I would have never known. Both of the 5s in Rockaway appear to have been removed, but the model 2 might still be there. Do you know if the Kingsley AFB ones ever test?
Edit: I checked and the model 2 has been removed too.

One of the Whelen's in Cannon Beach (45.8965565, -123.9619723) was replaced with an ATI HPSS-32. I'm not sure why, but it looks recent.
