There was an early model Thunderbolt on the roof of Central Park Elementary School that gave its life warning my neighbor hood to take cover on June 8th 1966. My folks home was located aprox. 100 yards West of the school.....directly West of the destroyed part of the school on the Right side of the picture or the S.W corner of the school. I was too young to remember the siren on top of the school, my mother a few years ago described it as
"looking a lot like the siren that replaced it" which would be just outside of the picture on the Left where it is now.

This is the 1967 Thunderbolt that replaced the siren which was destroyed in the tornado. The tennis courts are where the old Central Park School was located. Mom And Dad rebuilt our destroyed home where my mom stills lives to this day directly across the street South of the apartment complex pictured.
This picture looks S.W, ...to the N.E of the siren aprox. 30 yards is Robinson Middle School , which up till 1980 was the "new" Central Park Elementary school. This siren was decommissioned 5-10 years ago.
