Model 1 Question

Wed Jan 26, 2022 4:17 pm

So I found an odd siren in New York, most likely a Model 1, and then I stumbled across this photo. A Model 2 with a Model 1 housing?

Model 2: https://www.facebook.com/32031925536083 ... =3&theater

Model 1: http://www.jmarcoz.com/sirens/morrisville2_ny.jpg
I have a thing for objects that light up or make noise.

The first picture is a short housing 2. Few of them exist. They were one of the earliest 2 designs.
The second picture isn't a federal at all-it's a Littlefield-Alger siren! Basically a small Siro-Drone.

This is the Littlefield Alger siren mentioned. Pretty small in size, honestly comparable to a Model 1. HOR was believed to make small sirens very similar to these, but AFAIK none have ever been absolutely confirmed. My idea is LA is a similar case to Darley or GCS; selling cores off from a different manufacturer and re-badged as their own.
