4th of July Tornadoes...

Thu Jul 05, 2007 5:37 am

Today around 2:30 TWC poped up with a Tornado Warning, but my Weather Radio didn't say anything and the sirens was not sounding. The weird thing is i was just talking to Ian (AllAmericanFE) and he said he had a Tornado Watch, at this point we had a Severe Storm Warning, i told him i hope we don't get a Tornado Warning becasue my parents are asleep (as you can hear in the video, my mother had just woke up) Anyways about 5 minutes after TWC poped up with the warning the sirens went off. So here is my video:

Here is 49's video, you can hear a Thunderbolt and possibly a Thunderbeam mixing in?

EDIT: I found out the reason why the sirens took so long to sound is becasue it was a holiday and the EM Director was not working, so the EOC had to sound the sirens and they didn't find out about the warning for a few minutes after it was issued. Usually they are once right when the warning is issued and then again 5 minutes later.

Here is BellyJae's Severe Storm Warning w/ Tornado Watch siren video:

BellyJae lives in the same area as me, and Elliott, too. I got to hear my 1000T down the street for a severe thunderstorm warning-- but the weird thing was, it would have been test day for Cincinnati sirens 2 hours before they went off!
If your siren is a-failin'
Chances are that it's a Whelen
And if it's just about to die
Then it must be an ATI
