Looking for a controller for Darley STH-10B

Thanks Non-Zero for the info. That's pretty much how i've drawn out the power circuit and with 120v control. I do have a 200 amp service box in my shop so that is no prob adding a breaker and rated outlet. The timer seems doable too. My biggest question is slamming 220v without a soft starter. The inrush current would seem crazy especially when they run constant 50+ amps in service. It's def a heavy duty motor in these units. Did they not worry about that in the "old days" with these sirens?

A simple timer made from an IC555 circuit, Arduino, or an off the shelf relay timer will work as a remote control. No need for anything fancy.

Since this siren is single phase, soft starts, VFDs, or the like won't work. However, the inrush current shouldn't be too bad. I'd be surprised if you noticed honestly. In the event it dims the lights too much for your liking, just increase the wire length to induce a greater voltage drop and you should be good to go.

You'll be fine running the motor without a soft start, as long as you have the correct size starter and overloads.
