Re: 1986 ACA Alertronic 6000R

One thing I've been wondering is the ASC 400W amp and how its interfaced with the other 200W amps in the box.

Are those ASC amps just two-200W amps fused together in one box ala the Federal A100 found in the MCP or are they a full 400W amp? If its a full 400W, did you have any issues with powering it and interfacing it with the other 200W units? I own that I'm not an expert so it may be a dumb question but I wanted to learn a little bit here. FWIW, I'm guessing its a 2x200W based on how its wired.

Thanks!

As far as I know about them, they're two 200W amps in one box. They wire up the same and use the same harness/connector as a 200W amplifier.

It did amazing during sirencon this year. I was there the evening before when it arrived and my dad said it was like Elvis had arrived 🤣

I also saw it on the highway and I waved and gave a thumbs up at your car, since I wanted to say “Oi! Nice job with the siren!”
