Klaxon Mono SE Information

Mon Jun 10, 2024 8:51 pm

Hello,

Today I collected a pretty interesting siren; a Klaxon Mono SE. A couple of people have told me that it's a very rare model, which would explain why I didn't even know it existed until I saw it for sale. I heard something about it being originally being branded under the company RS Components, but then being rebranded to Klaxon? I'm not too sure, if anyone can provide any light on the subject it would be very much appreciated.

Anyway, today I spent an unnecessarily long amount of time removing the stator, so if you feel inclined to watch that process for yourself, here's the video link: https://youtu.be/opw8Ken-8JA

Also, are there any recordings of this type of siren anywhere? I don't think there are, but I am not entirely sure.

Thanks and have a good day,

First Klaxon Mono SE Test!

Mon Jun 17, 2024 1:57 pm

Hey there,

We got the siren wired up to a standard mains plug and tested it. Sounds very similar to an MS-190, I'd say. It isn't especially loud, possibly being beaten by my Chloride Gents 6-Port.

Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgzfoMeKQCw

As before, any information on the model would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
