Small White siren??

Fri Jul 19, 2024 8:10 pm

Siren in Tennessee at Cherokee Dam in Jefferson co, on top of the tower with a flag pole by the water gates, is where the siren is located. Been trying to find what it is and isn't on any old or new siren maps.

The image doesn't work for me, make sure that the image you attached is a .jpeg, and not anything else!

I did check out the area with images and street view, but the street view doesn't show any flagpole and the photos with it are too zoomed out. My best guess is a newer Model 2. Since they're smaller, it's pretty normal for them to be mounted on a flagpole, and dams also seem to love using them for their sirens.

I was thinking it could be an FS SelecTone, but it does look like a model 2, image here Image

The image still doesn't work for some reason. Instead of inserting it using a URL, you can add an attachment of the image, which almost always will show up. You may have to download the picture to actually get it to show!

I can't seem to figure it out, but what I did is just right click it and click open image and it worked.

If you post an image in a post, you need to include .jpg or the image file type (which will be at the end of the URL for the image) at the end of the URL in order to it to show up when embedding it within your post when using the

Code: Select all

[img][/img]
HTML code.

The image to me doesn't seem to look like a siren to me, but more of an antenna. If it did sound exactly like the siren in that video, then you were correct, as the siren in the video is a SelecTone!

I'm guessing that the part that you circled is just an antenna, and the siren is located somewhere else in the area.
