 Not to derail the topic too much, but all Model 2s usually run between 6000-8000RPM, and it seems like some of the early ones run faster. My '54 Model 2 runs at around 8200RPM. Here is a 2T that runs particularly fast, probably from the same era:

5000-8000* My 2T states it runs at 5000RPM on the tag.
Owner of the most dysfunctional 2T in the world... (not proud about it)
