Can a Siratrol B used w/a 2001SRN?

Wed Dec 18, 2024 2:01 am

IDK if this has been asked/posted B4, but will a 2001 work w/a older Siratrol or AR or AF timer?

Yes, any siren can be controlled with a AR/AF timer and/or SiraTrol, however do not use either to directly control the siren, as they’re not built to handle high amperage loads. Make sure you use a motor starter or contactor in conjunction.

As mentioned by Chicagosiren-hunters, the AR/AF timer can be used with a 2001; however, it should never be controlled directly through the AR/AF timer. The AR/AF timer is responsible for making the signals and controlling the contactors for the chopper and rotator. You can utilize two contactors and an off-delay relay to keep the rotator contactor running during the attack signal, as typically, the FC controller manages the operation of the rotator during that time by keeping the relay ON during an active signal.
