Darley Champion (Vertical) at 502 Bancroft Ave, Colonial Beach, VA 22443. It looks to be inactive

The STL-10 that is supposedly in Ashland is something that's marked on two other siren maps, though I've been in Ashland many times due to it being a popular railfanning spot, I've never heard, or seen an STL-10 anywhere. Looked on google maps and didn't find anything, so perhaps it's removed. when I go there next, I'll ask about it as its location is, or was at a fire station.

Where it's said to be, 37.75789, -77.48310

Could I get some more info of this "Mysterious siren" in Ashland? I just want to see if I could find it myself. Also by looking on Google Earth I don't see any resemblance
of an STL-10 on time travel. But there could have been a fire siren of some sort that Ashland VFD used to have, but it's too hard to tell since the Historic photos of Ashland VFD show no resemblance
of a siren of some sort

I don't have too much information. However, on another map, it's said that 1. it looks like an STH-10 missing some horns, meaning it's probably an STL-10 like other maps say. 2. It was apparently visible on street view at one point. And 3. It is believed that it might be removed which is very likely as I assume it was located on top of the building, or right next to it. That's basically all I really have. Looked on Vintage Aerial a few times and didn't find much.

Also, some information on a different siren. I went to the Model 5 in Deep Creek a few days ago and it looks like it's just a vent, unless it's just missing a few parts because the body is way too thin to be a model 5 and judging from what I saw, it's huge, so for now, I'm sticking to vent

Thanks! Ashland does not appear to have a siren in old street view. Maybe in past years - but the location in itself was added in 2016 as per Emma's old map.

As per map updates:

- Removed sirens are now skull and bones icon (to reserve the color black for unknown/mystery sirens)
- Sirens that had previous manufacturers (eg. ACA and ASC) are now highlighted whereas the current is brighter and the old one darker (eg. ACA is maroon and ASC is bright red)

Are you talking about Deep Creek Maryland? If you are, the only Model 5s that are close to Deep Creek is Friendsvilles Model 5 and Oaklands Model 5 which are already confirmed to be there. Unless im missing a mark that I don't know about
