Hello everyone, here is this federal SD10 advertisment with a different deflection band. Was this model ever made.

That just looks like the old one with an exposed stator.

If you look closely you will see a different deflection band with like a grated style.

Yes. I betcha it's a error in the drawing, just like the 3T22 advertisement.

It's likely a prototype, but there are SD-10s out there which don't have the band. Instead, they have mesh screening, like you'd see on the housing of a Model 5. My guess is, it was cheaper and easier to work with than the slotted vents on the prototype photographed. I'd guess it never made it into production, as I don't think one has ever been photographed in the wild like that.

Interesting that it calls the sd-10 a variant of the stl-10

The sd-10 uses the same motor as the stl-10

To go along with what Ziginox said, this isn't the only example of a prototype being used in an advertising piece or an aspect of a siren that's never/rarely been seen in the wild.. That is a really cool looking design though, honestly looks cooler than what we ended up getting to my eye.
