that is sad. I had no idea this was happening. even as a young enthusiast myself I know better. (that and I have no local siren.)
no local siren!? where in the world do you even live? almost every town I've been to has one even Boise had a thunderbolt at one point(long gone).
Not all areas are prone to tornadoes.
yes,I do know that, mine is a 95% chance of no tornadoes, its mostly VFD's, nooners,AF bases, dam breaking alerts, old historical valued sirens.

I agree.

I am on the very young side of the community (14), and I own multiple sirens, including a Model 2. This is a powerful siren, yet I have never used it for a full blast in my city; I have only used it for small growls.

The ONLY times I do full blasts with ANY siren, it's only usually my Model B-9 in my garage exclusively when the sun is out, for a max of 5 seconds.

I have met people in the community who probably should not have access to ANY encoder or siren.
Especially the kids with parents who let their kids get 2001-SRNBs and sound them in their backyard

(also to those kids: You are not cool for not wearing ear-pro)
Owner of 7 sirens, Including one of the two Pennington NJ Federal Electric Model 2s and a Model 2T
Along with 5 weather radios, 4 cassette players, and 5 CD players

i own many sirens as well im 14; including a Superbanshee-115, 2001-DC and a 2T22 core, i have only ran my 2001-DC at my house "i live in the country" i have never messed with tones or radios; nor do i even know much either. I would never put a communities system in harm.
