Re: High mounted sirens in the US

It’s in the center of York and covers a lot of space. I can’t remember where the other 2001s are but their poles are avg height in comparison to this one.

EDIT: Here’s a really high up STL-10 (on the grain elevator)

I'm a siren enthusiast but I also collect electric fans. I’m working on a map for sirens in NE and hope to post it here someday

Now I have 8 small sirens, and 58 electric fans :D :D

This siren is in Kennett, MO. I'm pretty sure this was a watch tower the siren is on

  • This T128 in Bloomington, IL atop of the old State Farm Building, 13 floors up (162 ft.). Replaced a Thunderbolt 1000 in 2007-2009.
  • This Thunderbolt 1000T on the water plant building in Waukegan, IL. Removed but never replaced, I think it was inactive for while.
IL native, former Lake Villa & Arlington Heights resident.

And yes I named my fursona after a tornado siren. All four of my sonas have sirens as middle names:
Vincent Penetrator, Evergo Thunderbolt, Rejuvenation Thunderbeam, & Casablanca Tempest.
