Siren project ideas

Fri Apr 11, 2025 5:21 pm

I like to make my own sirens out of 3-d printed parts, small motors, and 9-12 volt power sources. They are not always loud but never the less, they are neat. I am looking for ideas/recommendations/advice on how to make my future sirens look/function/sound better.

These recommendations could include but are not limited to:

Port ratio recommendations.
How they could look.
How to make them more efficient.
The best way to even supercharge one.
How to add pulse/Hi-low capabilities (I have done it before but am open to more ideas.
How to boost Db level

All ideas are welcome.

No idea if you'll acknowledge this, but 5/13 or 5/12 port. No idea how to do 2, 3, 4. Maybe a moving stator? Curious as to how this would turn out if possible.

To create a 2 port siren you have to have a 3 or 4 port chopper inside a stator with only 2 ports.

To make a 3 port siren you would need a 3 port chopper with a 3 port stator. To create 4 port siren it’s the same thing just 4 ports. Hope this helps
