Question about siren Frequencies

Sat Sep 08, 2007 10:28 pm

I was wondering if anyone knew the frequencies of some various sirens?
Like the Thunderbolts, 2T-3T22's, Hurricane 130, model 5's 7's etc. and most of all the Cyclone/P-50/T-135 and any other sirens.

I think the Thunderbolt 1000T and 1003 is 550 and 660 Hz, but I'm not sure. and I know the Federal Signal 2001 DC is 750 Hz, but that's it.

Are you talking about the freq range of the sound emmited, or the freq range of the radio triggering system?

I presume it must be the frequency range of the sound emitted. The frequency range of the radio triggering system would depend on the freq. range of the emergency services radios in the locale.

No, its a Dual-Toned siren. Tripple tone would require 3 rotor/stator arse'ys

The Hurricane MKII comes in major third 8-10 port (460-575 Hz) and minor third 10-12 port (575-690 Hz) configurations.

The only triple-tone listed is the 12/10/10/15 Tangent-Gents, UK 50Hz siren.
