I just recorded the 3V8-H from Lyon Mountain NY.

Doesn't sound much different from any other 8-port siren.

Nice recording - thanks! It has a faster pickup than some of their larger sirens and doesn't drop off on the wind-down like a Screamer. Beats the heck out of a Model 2.

That siren also sounds a lot like the P-15/RM-127 sirens in Manitowoc, Wisconsin that were posted earlier on this board.

...but it COULD sound like this:

I would love for Sentry to build 8/10 port dual tone sirens instead of their traditional 8/16 and 10/15 models. Just take the 10-port head off a 40V2T and the 8-port head off a 20V2T. Of course, the remaining 15- and 16-port siren heads could also be made into something like this:

Nice sounds, with the 8/10 3v8 sounding like a Federal 2T, and the 15/16 Sterling M sound like those old style 8/9 fire sirens.
