Sounds like a 4/5 Thunderbolt.

There's a Model 2T-type chopper in there, as well!
Great sound!

I thought the thunderbolt was a model 2/2T "in a can".

Essentially, it was, considering that the outer dimensions of the rotors were the same, as well as the armature assemblies, I think, but the Thunderbolt in this video has a genuine Model 2T rotor.

It is definitely a 4/5 rotor and not the usual 5/6. The resultant pitch is completely different and quite nice to listen to.

I just found out the other day that Louisville has a 4/5 port 1000T, which is even higher pitched than this one. It can be heard on my grandmother's recording in this thread. I'm not sure where this Thunderbolt is, but my uncle and I plan on trying to find it soon. It sounds like it's set to a chopper level of 7, while this one sounds like a level 6.

You can also hear the blower on that beast as well. Sounds like one of the older blowers.

Wow, that's the first time I've ever heard a 4/5 port 1000T. This is sure to be a really good attention-getter, since it has a very distinct tone, much different than that of the normal 5/6 port 1000T. Isn't this Thunderbolt sounding in a major 3rd tone?

On a side note, would it be possible to replace a 1003's 5/6 port rotor with a 4/5 port rotor? I think that would make for a really cool hi-lo tone! :D

I wish someone would come up with an audio/video of a 4/5 thunderbolt
with a complete wind-up and wind-down (with the blower motor staying on
until the chopper completely winds down!). 8)
