Sounds like a solnoid opened or something right before it winds down.

That siren sounds like it's either single phase, or it's underpowered. The wind-up is much slower than usual, and it doesn't quite get up to the usual 3450 RPM's. I'm not sure exactly what happened just before the wind-down, but it did seem to stutter a little bit.

I noticed that noise too. I also heard what sounded to be one of the dampers either opening or closing right before windup. Anybody else notice that?

I noticed that too. The click you heard was probably just the motor starter, and the hum probably came from the motor itself. 2T22's and 3T22's usually aren't that noisy at startup. I think that that siren needs an inspection.

Oh ok, I didn't even think that it may have just been the motor starter or something. As far as the slow wind up and all goes, do you think it may in part have something to do with the brushes or anything like that inside the motor? I'm no electrician, but it almost sounds like the problem may possibly be contained in the motor.

I also agree that the siren needs a thorough inspection as soon as possible, because I'd hate to see a good 3T22 burn up just because it wasn't maintained properly.

Siren is 3 phase and on 208 Volts the burb at the end is caused by the timer clock sticking

It could very well be the brushes. The 3T22 in the video below sounded sort of like this one, only much worse, and it needed new brushes.
