There are no Whelens heard. Only 2001s. That high-pitched siren has to be a 2001-130. It really does sound like it. And 2001TRs doesn't exist.

This is the first video I'm talking about. :)
I'm with you, Coyote. I like that in-your-face ear-piercing pitch of those 2001's, only because they sound like something really bad is about to happen.

Those videos are both from Jeffersonville, IN, which is right across the river from Louisville. I saw a news story about these sirens back in 2002 or 2003, when many of them were first installed. One of my friends used to live near one of the later instalations from 2004 or 2005.

I believe that Jeffersonville is exclusively 2001 country. What you thought could have been a Cyclone or T-135 was very likely just the low undertone from one of the 2001's.
