Cincinatti siren symphony

Tue Jun 03, 2008 11:18 pm

Check out this mix of sirens recorded in Cincinatti today. Sirens heard are a bunch of Thunderbolts, a couple of 2001's, and a T-128. It appears that there's something wrong with one of the 2001's.

It could be that this particular 2001 is set to do a longer attack signal, such as the 550AT video from Colorado provided.

That 550AT was not doing attack. I thought it was 3 1minute alerts (Tornado Signal for the city)

After listening more closely to this video, it does appear that that 2001 is doing very long cycles of Attack. Those are the longest Attack cycles I've ever heard on any siren. It beats that Thunderbolt with a broken rotator from Marietta, GA by two seconds. I don't know why that 2001 is sounding in Attack instead of Alert, or why anyone would set the Attack cycles to be so long.
