T-135AC/DC and other sirens sound for tornado warning

The first siren to wind up is the new T-135. I've actually never heard it before this warning. That's mainly because of Milwaukee's erratic testing schedule and the fact that I've been recording different sirens during the 3 times it's been tested since being installed in June of 2007. The wind came from the south during this warning and the T-135 is to my west. Because of that, 2 P-50's to my south mostly drown it out. You can also hear a nearby P-10 to my Northwest.

Thanks, Jerry. That's my best feline pal Butterscotch. :) I usually don't mind if he follows me outside, and I'll let him sniff about the yard for a few minutes...otherwise he sits at the door and begs incessantly. But obviously, with a tornado warning I wasn't about to let him do that.

I don't know if it's my headphones but the sirens don't sound very loud in that video.

The T-135AC/DC sounds pretty much the same as a T-128.

I was wondering what Butterscotch looked like. My Maine Coon, Leo, is the same color but with longer fur.

That T-135-ACDC doesn't sound like it's rotating, but that could be something to do with the wind. Also, the tone doesn't seem to resonate as much as that of a T-128.

Hmm. I was hoping the T-135AC/DC sounded like the old T-128.. But, I guess not. Still, not a bad video. ;) Very good recording, actually. I like the sound of the old P-50s! :D

Yep. I don't know exactly why the T-135AC/DC was placed where it was. It's at the dump, which is in the extreme western part of Wauwatosa. It probably warns more people in Brookfield and Elm Grove than in Wauwatosa. It SHOULD be farther east, closer to the middle of town, at a higher point for better coverage. The addition of a smaller siren located in the eastern half of town could also fill in the gap. The top of Wauwatosa East high school would be a great siren location, in my opinion.
