I forgot exactly which city I was in, but I'm pretty sure it was rockwall...anyways, here's what I found in said city:

Sorry for the thread revival but I've past by that siren a few times. It's the only P-50 I know of on the est side of the DFW metroplex. I just feel sorry for the Sonic drive in next to it on test day. :shock:

They're roughly 1500 lbs. Most of the siren's weight is at the back, centered over the pole. The pole is steel, so although it looks thin, it is quite sufficient to hold the weight. The fiberglass shroud, while large, doesn't contribute much to the weight of the siren.
