Hey all,
I have sit directly across from this one and it is LOUD.
It replaced a 3016 that was hit by lightning. It's the only one in Tulsa or metro area I have ever seen.

Well, they're much rarer than a WS 3016, I'd think. As the WPS 4008 was discontinued due to poor sales. Practically all of the cities in Northeastern Oklahoma that are using Whelen sirens are using Vortexes (while I have seen an OmniAlert A04 in Oakhurst). Tulsa is the only one, so far, that I've seen using WS 3016's. So they're system must be considerably older and that's probably why they're replacing their WS 3016's with Vortex's.NHWhelens wrote:How rare are the 4008's? Here in new hampshire and massachusetts we have about 30 of them not including a ton of 3016's with the seabrook nuclear plant.
