How do you know if it was one of the first 1000Ts built?

Story county, Iowa. There are several Thunderbolts still around in the Ames area, but not for long. They installed 5 new Modulators on the ISU campus and the city bought 10 new sirens as well, which have not yet been installed.

Various sorces, NEWPAPER articles, actual facts from siren location, etc. There's tons of proof. Also, design. Blower and horn were modified a bit over the years. Listen and look closely. You'll detect the difference in due time. And, no. I'm not pulling random facts out my ***.

Dupage has Thunderbolts? Where are they at? I 'll have to look the next time I go to the fairgrounds.

pyroboy,

get acquainted with tinyurl.com. You can take a long, long link like this one and turn it into 24 or 25 characters, like this one, which is the link above:

http://tinyurl.com/57jpzc .

It's really handy.

Out of the sirens I know about in Cincinnati and surrounding areas:

Hamilton County - mostly Thunderbolts with some 2001s, a T-128 and possibly an Allertor (will try to confirm whether or not that siren is still there soon).

Butler County - mix of 2001s and Thunderbolts

Campbell County, Kentucky - Two modulators, a bunch of 2001s and at least one Thunderbolt.

The T-Bolt in Wilder came as a surprise to me. There are 2001s near older buildings in Campbell County, yet there's a Thunderbolt near a much newer building. Go figure.

In Oklahoma I've seen
Kingfisher County...
Hennessey: 1 Thunderbolt 1000/1000T
Payne County...
Perkins: Thunderbolt 1000/1000T (number unknown)
Garfield County (where I live)
Enid: (at my last guess) 15 Thunderbolt 1000T.
What else am I suppose to do? Read a book?
