A Kenosha P-50 siren going off in attack

Thu Sep 04, 2008 3:34 am

After a failed attempt to record a P-50 Going off in attack 2 months ago, I finally got a video of it.

Poor bird! :D

Nice video!

What exactly is the difference between the P-50 and the T-135 AC model?

Great video. If I may suggest something: put the word "siren" somewhere in your title and it will be easier to search for it.

I swear that every p-50 in Kenosha County must be on 208V .

At 208 volts, these sirens draw 900 amps of current when starting up. That is an insane amount of power. I love it!

Did they ever make ACA P-50's/ASC T-135AC's with 40 horsepower motors instead of the more common 50 horsepower motors?

I don't think so. That seems to have been exclusive to the Cyclone C-125s only.

Very good video, by the way. The P-50 doesn't even make it up to full speed on a couple cycles during the Attack Warning.

That is kind of what I was thinking. I have not heard of a 40 HP P-50 before.

Yes, very good video. I love the sound of a P-50 at any speed.
