I made a clone of The Siren Board in the past. The forum is still up, all you need to do is get a domain for it. Or get a free one.

As I stated before, I could probably get everything pulled through, users, posts, etc. and keep the same domain name. Get back to me if you're interested.

PLEASE do not go with proboards - incredibly tacky/cheap.

I can easily donate next month, but this month I'm tight on cash. The idea of a raffle sounds really good to me, if it could be worked out.

I could easily donate $10-15 a month, no problem.

If things continue to deteriorate in the financial field, I could potentially host the site/forums on a dedicated server in the North east usa area (Superb.net). And the DNS on two servers, one in Florida and other in Holland, Netherlands. :)

That's just because you don't know how to properly use it. Anyways, if Calvin and do what he claims he can do, he's our best choice.

I respectfully disagree. Proboards is stable, fast, full-featured, and easily modified. Tacky is incorrect, but cheap is not. It's free, so of course the URL would be something like sirenboard.proboards101.com. If everyone here just bookmarked it, this wouldn't be an issue. It also has ads, but get Adblock or ignore 'em.

Proboards show up in a google search. Proboards are skinnable, and could fairly easily look like very close to the color scheme of this board.

If money is an issue, then may as well just relieve ourselves of the burden and get a free board.

It'd be fine if it weren't for those two things.

Like I said, I would be happy to. I've got hosting already setup and established with more than enough extra resources, and I'm sure that if done correctly, everything could be preserved and ported over.
