Can you ID this siren?

Sat May 20, 2006 10:49 pm

I saw this siren (this actual one) in Maui, and I wanted to know what the model was:

I also saw these, but I know what they are (linx):

It's a Siretone That I know of. Possibly a 1212 (for the one displayed)?

This one is a EOWS (siratone) 612: http://www.jmarcoz.com/sirens/maui_hi1.jpg

This one is a Federal SIgnal Thunderbeam http://www.jmarcoz.com/sirens/lahaina1_hi.jpg

This one is a Federal Signal Modulator (painted green):

And this one is a 2T22 (it has no solenoid boxes):

OK, thanks.

By the way, you didn't have to ID the links, I already knew those ;) But if it was just for fun, feel free to.

Most of the sirens in Hawaii are used for tsunami warnings and hurricanes.

Wow, 2001, I thought I said that in the post...?

Oh, no I didn't, I stated it in a previous post... I think the "Sirens in Your Area" one...

Kinda already knew that one, too...

Geez people, you act like I'm 7 years old! ;) ;) ;)

Now that I think of it, the 612 has 6 speakers, and the 1212 has 12 (and so does this pic), so you are probably right.

612 stands for 6 speakers 12 drivers (2 drivers a speaker) and the 1212 is 12 speakers 12 drivers (1 driver a speaker)

It is definitely an EOWS 1212.
