In this case it would be the priest, since it's a Catholic church :P

I've always wondered why they chose to put the TBolt on the church itself instead of on the school behind the church.

I've seen sirens on church property before, but not on the building itself. Our old pastor told me that there was a church he used to pastor at that had a siren (a TBolt I think) right up against the church building. He recalled how it rattled the windows and how the walls vibrated. He said they did have a Sunday when it went off during church for a tornado warning.

Are you sure this siren isn't behind the church on a pole, or that this isn't actually a Catholic school? I can't imagine any church allowing a siren to be put on its roof, but I have seen them on Catholic schools in Omaha.

A priest who is in charge of a Catholic parish is called a pastor. "Priest" describes what he is; "pastor" describes his assignment.

As for this siren, I really prefer bells on churches, but no bells have the coverage of one of these!

Thanks for the clarification Daniel. I've always heard them referred to as priests.

There is one bell in this area which might have that kind of coverage - "Big Joe" at St. Francis De Sales in East Walnut Hills. The bell is 9 feet in diameter and was at one time the largest swinging bell in the country.
