AF timer help

Ok I finally got my AF timer and it works great but the problem is the cancel button does not work so could some of you pleaset tell me how to fix this problem?

What do you mean it doesn't work? Does the siren not cut off when you press it?

The function does not cut off also now if you push the alert or attack it justs clicks and doesent start spinning until you wigle some wires. Also it is not putting out any power. *Also its only puting out around 10 volts*

I would very carefully check the wires to see if any are loose or maybe pulled out of the connectors that go under the screw terminals. The cancel button breaks the circuit to the relays, making them release early; before the 1-minute (or 3-minute, which ever yours has) cam gets around to click the "off" microswitch.

When you say about the output, the voltage you see on the siren control terminals is actually not important. What happens is that when the timer triggers the siren, those two terminals get connected together by the relays. It's just acting like an on-off switch. Here's a picture of two jumpers that you need if you don't have a radio/tone receiver attached: Note that this is an AR timer, but I believe the jumpers are the same as the AF.

Ok is 11 and 12 susposed to be wired together? and is the brown wire (Guessing thats cancel) susposed to be going to terminal 12? and is 6 and 12 susposed to go to each other?

The timer still cycles if you hit cancel. Also the timer is not supposed to put out any power, its a switch, not a power supply. You should follow the wiring schematic to see if all your connections are correct.

Yes I know it's a switch but when it turns on isint the power susposed to come out becuase it is not.

No power is supposed to come out of anything on the AF or AR.
If you are using the AF to control a single non-fire signal siren you will need to hook terminals 1 and 2 on the large terminal strip together.
Then you hook your powered relay that controls your siren to terminals either 1 or 2 (doesn't matter because they are hooked together) and terminal number 3. If there isn't a jumper between 1 and 2 on the main terminal strip the test button won't work.
THEN. Make sure you have a jumper wire between 15 and 16 on the little terminal strip. Charles has a picture of that above.
The thing should work then. Was this timer said to be in working condtion by who you got it from?

It works but I just don't think its hooked up to a siren nor does he understand the inner workings of the timer (no offense videogamer, you have to have a decent amount of electrical knowledge to know how it works).

Ok now how would I make this work if I have a pump start relay and a transformer for it. Could I just put the common wire cut it in half and put it inbetween terminals 2 and 3?

New: Ok I got it to work but now if I hit lets just say attack the cams go but the power acts like its a test switch. All the buttons are now like test switchs
