GCS Siren video

Thu Sep 28, 2006 7:14 pm

Here is a video I took of my GCS siren at New Years Eve, shortly before I sold it to a mill in Olympia, Washington. The insides are identical to a Model 2 and it was running on 240 volts. The link is below the photo. My camera was new and I didn't know how to adjust the quality. Also, being midnight, it was very dark. Turn your volume all the way up so that you can also hear a cuckoo clock, two angry chihuahuas, and the by-product of fine German gunsmithing combined with Oregon's liberal firearms laws and a convenient lack of close neighbors.

Good video. I love the fast wind-up.
When you had that picture in your avatar, I had mistaken it for a Model 5.

Nice video.

If I did turn my volume all the way up, the siren would have scared the crap out of me! :D

What kind of gun are you shooting at the end?

That was the point. All is quiet at midnight, with the cuckoo clock chiming and the TV on in the background. As a special treat for those viewers, who unlike yourselves don't realize how loud it is when you're 15 feet from a large siren at ground level, I recommended turning up the volume. Yes, I was shooting a Walther P99 9mm, with a convenient 15-round clip (thanks, Pres. Bush!).

Ah yes, I should have expanded your description and seen the answer to my question. I'm always talking crap to people for making that mistake, so everyone gets free passes from me for a while now :D.
